2 Fatal Auto Accidents In Woolwich

magick-2806idsMIUpLaWEfWOOLWICH TWP. – Woolwich Township was the site of two fatal accidents in June.

The first took place on June 16 at 4 p.m. at the intersection of Garwin Road and Route 322.

According to police reports, Jay Scerbo, 19, of Woolwich Township was traveling south on Garwin when he failed to stop at the traffic sign. His truck collided with a minivan where Charles Amadei, 33 of Vineland was killed. He was traveling with his wife, 14 year old son, three younger children and his mother. The others were transported to Chester Crozier for evaluation of minor injuries.

Scerbo was ticketed for careless driving and failure to stop or yield to traffic. No criminal charges are pending.

The second accident occurred on Center Square Road on June 17. According to police reports, William Pauciello, 20, of Logan Township was driving on Center Square Road near Tavistock Drive at 12:30 a.m. and drove car off the road into tree. The cause of crash is undetermined.
