Bat Houses Installed As Eagle Scout Project

WOOLWICH TWP. — Spencer Reese completed his Eagle Scout Project recently, building six bat houses for Locke Ave Park. They are located near the foot bridge between Locke Ave and High Hill Park.

The bat houses were built to benefit the endangered Indiana bat and other species in New Jersey. The houses will provide a safe, warm, and comfortable place to live for the bats.

This also benefits the community at the same time. By preserving the bats, the bats will then be able to fly around Lock Ave Park and catch mosquitoes and be fed while helping us.
