April 24: Dispatched to a motor vehicle crash (MVC) at 126 Mantua Road. A Gloucester County Sheriff’s Officer witnessed a vehicle leave the roadway and crash in a front yard. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer determined the driver was in cardiac arrest and began CPR. Ambulance, paramedics, EGPD and EGTFR were dispatched. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital. Crews were in service for 31 minutes.

April 25: Dispatched to a MVC at Kings Hwy. and W. Wolfert Station Rd. Crews arrived to find one patient entrapped in a vehicle. Crews went to work with the hydraulic rescue tools. The car door was opened and patient was turned over to GC EMS for evaluation. Crews were in service for 22 minutes.

May 1: Dispatched to a brush fire at 17 Mantua Rd. Chief Gould (1901) arrived and found a small smoldering fire in a mulch bed. Brush 1915 arrived and cooled the area down. Crews were in service for 20 minutes.

May 5: Dispatched to a MVC at 13 W. Cohawkin Rd. A single vehicle crashed into a telephone pole, breaking the pole and bringing down wires across the roadway. Crews found one patient with injuries. Patient was turned over to GC EMS. Crews were in service for one hour and 26 minutes, however remained on location for an additional three hours and 39 mins blocking the roadway until utility companies installed a new pole and re-hung wires.

May 6: Dispatched to 189 Dominic Lane for a commercial vehicle fire. Chief Gould (1901) arrived to find a refrigerated food trailer with heavy fire in the front. The fire was also impinging on the building. Crews arrived and began extinguishing the fire. Other crews arrived and forced entry into the building to check for fire extension. Crews extinguished the fire and began overhaul. The fire is being investigated by the Gloucester County Fire Marshall’s Office. Crews were in service 91 minutes.

May 16: Dispatched to Kayla Dr. at Berkley Rd. for a MVC. Rescue 1918 was the first on scene and found a two vehicle crash with injuries. The crew began evaluating the patients until GC EMS arrived, patients were turned over to EMS and crews were clear. Crews were in service for 17 minutes.
