LOGAN TWP. — Set it and forget it. That was the idea of Logan Township Mayor Frank Minor’s new free download app that will remind you of important election dates with pop-up mobile alerts.
Besides election day alerts, it will also alert you to deadlines to file voter related forms like voter registration or vote by mail. Minor said that this app will give names of the candidates, without political advertising, as well as information on where to vote.
Reminders on Election Day, Minor said, will be sent the day before as well as that morning and a final reminder an hour before polls close. If you miss the alert, the view alerts page will show current and previous alerts.
For Apple users you can find it in the App Store by typing in Voter Alert. For Androids you’ll find it in Play Goggle by typing in Voter Alert.
Minor said that the list of customers will not be sold.
