The Swedesboro Woolwich Junior Girls Basketball team finished as runners-up in the Gloucester County Basketball League Junior A playoffs when they fell in overtime to West Deptford 16 – 12.
On March 8, the West Deptford team, who were the third seeded team with a record of 13-3, and the Swedesboro-Woolwich team who were the fifth seeded team with a record of 11-5, met to play for the tournament and conference title. In a close game which demonstrated great sportsmanship and athleticism by both teams, West Deptford held off a second half surging Swedesboro-Woolwich team.
