repaupo webREPAUPO — The Repaupo United Methodist Church will be having a Yard Sale on Saturday, May 13 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m, rain or shine.

Table rental (inside) is $15. Outside space is $10. Vendors and crafters are wanted.

Hoagies are also being sold that day at a cost of $6 each. Kinds available are Italian, American, turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, roast beef and cheese, and mixed cheese.

Pickup time for hoagies is 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. To order hoagies and/or rent space for the yard sale, please call 609-319-4835.

Deadline for hoagie orders is Tuesday, May 9. Proceeds will benefit our upcoming mission project, a volunteer meal packaging event for the international relief organization, “Rise Against Hunger”, formerly called “Stop Hunger Now”.

Established in 1998, “Rise Against Hunger” coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. The organization is driven by a vision to end world hunger in our lifetime and a mission to provide food and lifesaving aid to the world’s most destitute and hungry in the most sustainable, efficient and effective manner.

The meal packaging program is a volunteer-based program that coordinates the streamlined packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, flavoring and 21 essential vitamins and minerals. The meals are easily transported to crisis-burdened areas or supplied to school feeding programs around the world.

The congregation will host the packaging event at the church on Saturday, June 10, where they and other volunteers will put together 10,000 meals to help the impoverished throughout the world. Your support will be greatly appreciated and will help feed the hungry in our country and around the world.

The Repaupo United Methodist Church is located at 770 Paulsboro Road in Repaupo.
