There will be two presentations of the story, lasting 20 minutes, starting at 6 and then at 6:30 p.m.
The program will feature the manger scene with Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, visited by shepherds with their lambs from the fields. They will be followed by the arrival of the Wise Men of the East with their gifts.
There will be a number of live animals – sheep, and maybe camels in the background if the little ones use their imaginations. Special Christmas music will accompany the narrative of the familiar story of Jesus’ birth.
Small children attending the event will be provided with a shepherd’s headdresses as they watch the story unfold. The program will be held outside in front of the church so please dress in warm clothing.
Following the second presentation, the public is invited to come in to the church to warm up, enjoy singing familiar Christmas carols, and then head for the chapel for refreshments.
It’s a night where you and your children can be part of the annual celebration of the Christmas Story. Any maybe some of your neighbors would enjoy the experience so invite them to come along.
