Woolwich Officially Welcomes Chestnut Ridge

WOOLWICH TWP. — The Woolwich Township Mayor and Committee came out on June 11 for a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open Chestnut Ridge, Woolwich Township’s newest premier community of luxury single family homes located near the intersection of Rt. 668 and just off Russell Mill Road.

With 36 upscale single-family homes, Chestnut Ridge offers luxury living with the highly sought-after Kingsway Regional School District, and within easy commuting distance of Philadelphia, Delaware and all points north and south in New Jersey. The furnished and decorated Juniper Model Home is now open for tours Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by appointment.

In attendance at the ribbon cutting were Woolwich Township Mayor Samuel Maccarone, Jr., Deputy Mayor Alexander Elefante, Jr., Matthew Blake, Director of Community Development, Alan Schwager, Chairperson of the Joint Land Use Board, and Jane DiBella, Township Administrator/Clerk. Jane DiBella, Jeffrey Fernbach, president of Fernmoor Homes, and Dana Belka, Chestnut Ridge Sales Representative, cut the ribbon.

Woolwich is one of only 20 state-designated “Smart Growth” Centers in New Jersey, and the new community will be part of this initiative. The area will feature a mix of destination shopping, including the Woolwich Commons, a 544,459 square foot retail project scheduled to open in 2016. There also will be offices and light industry, parks, hotels and homes along the town’s regional center, the Rt. 322 Growth Corridor.

Construction has begun at Chestnut Ridge. Homes feature 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and 2,682 to 3,357 sq. ft. of luxury living space, and are priced from the $300’s. The community is located just minutes from Routes 55, 45, 40, 295, 322 and the New Jersey Turnpike. For commuters, it’s less than 30 minutes to nearby Philadelphia.
