Color Me Pink for breast Cancer Awareness – Tuesday, Oct. 7 – 6:30 p.m. Join us in a night of fun, quizzes, prizes and more. Test your knowledge about breast cancer. This program is sponsored by NJ CEED and regional 10 Chronic Disease Coalition of Inspira Medical Center Woodbury, Gloucester County.

TEEN PROGRAMS: Teen/Tween Book Club – Our book club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. This month we meet on Thursday, Oct. 9 – 7 p.m. to discuss Fire-starter by Stephen King.

Teen/Tween Writers’ Club – Take some time to write, get new inspiration and share your work – Writers’ Club usually meets the second Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. Notice change in time for October meeting. We will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, Oct. 16 – 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time!

Teen Advisory Board – Join our Teen Advisory Board. Be a Reading Buddy, work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities. Do you enjoy writing? CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS: All Ages: Halloween Fun – Join us Thursday, Oct. 23 – 6:30 p.m. for Halloween fun with Toni Baloney – Come in costume. Prizes for most original costume, funniest, scariest, and cutest.

FURever As Friends – Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog for a 15 minute time slot. This month’s dates will be Mondays, Oct. 6 & 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please register by calling 467-0111 or at the library. Permission slips are required.

Abrakadoodle Art – Monday, Oct. 13 – 6:30 p.m. Create a masterpiece – take home a finished piece of art you created! Space is limited. Please register early by going to www.gcls.org or call 856-467-0111.

Amazing Math Lab – Thursday, Oct. 2 – 7 p.m. This Math club meets the first Thursday of each month and is best-suited for 4th through 6th grade. Call for more information – 856-467-0111.

Story Time – Story Time is a fun time! We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (Tuesdays, Oct. 7, 14, 21, & 28). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Story Time – Wednesday morning story time meets at 10:30 a.m. October dates are Oct. 8, 15, 22, & 29 – Library meeting Room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays. Baby Time will be held on Thursdays, Oct. 16 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs. This month’s dates are Thursdays, Oct. 9 & 23 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Homework and Reading Buddies – The Reading Buddy Literacy Program provides one-on-one assistance to children for help with learning English, help with phonics and reading skills, and help with Math and Language Arts. Children interested in having a reading buddy during the 2014-2015 school year should contact the library at 467-0111. Teens interested in being a reading buddy should also contact the library.
