LOGAN TWP. — Billie Kate’s, a unique eatery featuring Cajun/Creole delicacies and barbecue, has opened at 2100 High Hill Rd in Logan Township.
Owners Kathy and Bill Rode of Swedesboro opened this restaurant that is sure to tease your taste buds. Kathy and Bill are well known community residents who have over 50 years of experience in the food business.
Bill is the son of the late Otto J. Rode. He worked in the family business of Otto C. Rode Inc. for 27 years before setting out on his own to cater wedding receptions, serve food concessions, participate as a food vendor in many local community events, as well as retail food production. He has helped coordinate Swedesboro-Woolwich Day food vendors for many years.
Kathy and Bill have created a menu that boasts Po’ Boy sandwiches of New Orleans, with fresh grilled crab cakes, house-smoked brisket, pulled pork, roasted chicken, and fried oysters. The menu also includes spare ribs, house made salads, baked four cheese macaroni and the list goes on.
Billie Kate’s offers sit down and relaxed seating as well as take-outs. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Catering for all events is also available.
