SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER

MARISSA CIOCCO, daughter of Joseph and Kelly Ciocco of Clarksboro.

School Activities: Field Hockey Captain, Student Council Recording Secretary, Bowling, S.A.D.D., Interact, Student Ambassador, Physics Club, P.A.W.S., National Honor Society, and Habitat for Humanity.

Out of School Activities: In beTWEEN Girls’ Organization, East Greenwich Soccer, and South Jersey Edge Field Hockey Club.

Honors/Awards: Spotlight Student of the Month for April 2014, September Athlete of the Month for Field Hockey 2014, Superintendent’s and Principal’s Lists, All Conference Tri-County Royal Division First Team for 2014, 2013 Olympic Conference Bowling Tournament First Place, and Tri-County Conference Champions in Bowling for 2013-2014.

Future Plans: Marissa hopes to attend college and earn a degree in engineering.

SOPHIA NITSOLAS, daughter of Jimmy and Tina Nitsolas of Mickleton.

School Activities: Delegate of Princeton Model Congress, Chair for New Jersey Model Congress, defense lawyer for the Mock Trial Team, Vice President of Student Council (pep rally Master of Ceremonies), also excited to host Mr. Kingsway, Secretary of the National Honor Society, member of Kingsway’s Circle of Friends (it’s always great to meet new people), and volunteers through the Interact Club and P.A.W.S.

Out of School Activities: President of St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church’s GOYA (youth group), mentor for In beTWEEN Girls’ Organization, dancer in St. Thomas’s Hellenic Heritage Dance Group, player on the St. Thomas girls’ basketball and soccer teams, and cashier and server at Cecil Creek Farm.

Honors/Awards: Metropolitan Evangelos Youth Ambassador of Peace.

Future Plans: Sophia is interested in attending a four-year university to major in either business or communications. Her ambition is to become a news anchor. She hopes to travel the world.
