LOGAN TWP. – Logan have charged a Logan Township man and a 14 year old juvenile with robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, conspiracy, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon following a January home invasion in the Logan Woods development.
On Jan. 16 at approximately 7 p.m., Kenneth Morgan Jr., 23, of Logan, allegedly entered the victim’s residence disguised with bandannas. According to witness statements, Morgan produced a silver revolver, and pointed it at the residents, while the juvenile threatened the occupants with a knife.
Both were demanding that a stash of marijuana- “work”- be turned over to them. They allegedly left the residence after being confronted by additional occupants during which the juvenile’s bandanna fell down exposing his identity.
Morgan was arrested Feb. 4 without incident by members of the Logan Township Police Department. He was processed and committed to the Salem County Jail in default of $200,000 full cash bail set by Superior Court Judge Kevin Smith.
The juvenile was served in the Camden County Youth Detention Center where he is being detained on an unrelated Logan matter.
The investigation and subsequent arrest was the result of a collaborative effort by Logan’s Patrol and Detective Units. A New Jersey State Police interpreter assisted in the investigation
