Adults: Adult Sewing ClassesWednesdays, May 6, 13, 20, & 27. Create new projects at each class. Must know basic sewing skills. Please bring your own machine. Space is limited. Call to register.

Build a Better SmoothieWednesday, May 136:30 p.m. This program is sponsored by Rutgers Cooperative, a division of Rutger’s University, providing science-based educational programming.

Adult Book Club – Meets the last Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. This month’s date is Tuesday, May 26.  This Life in Your Hands by Melissa Coleman will be May’s selection.

Tween/Teens:

Teen/Tween Writers’ Club – Exercise your creativity and join other tween/teens on the second Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. Devote this time to writing. This is an opportunity to share your work. Different types of writing techniques, writing tips, and writing ideas are available to get you started.  This month’s date is Monday, May 11 – 7 p.m.

Teen/Tween Book Club – Enjoy some great reads and discussions on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. This month’s date is Thursday, May 14. Selection TBA.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, May 21 – 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time!

Anime Club – The Anime Club will resume on Monday, June 22 – 5 p.m. Anime Club meetings will be held on the 4th Monday of each month.

Teen Advisory Board – Our Teen Advisory Board needs teens to be a Literacy Buddy, work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities. Do you enjoy writing? Learn how you can write reviews and create a quarterly teen newsletter. Call 467-0111 for information on how you can volunteer or become an active member.

Childrens:

MakerSpace:  Learn about Makey Makey, Snap Circuits, and Little Bits Monday, May 115 p.m. Have fun and learn new technology at the same time! Best suited for ages 9 and up. This technology class will be ongoing and meet the 2nd Monday of each month.

Coding ClassMonday, May 18 – 5 p.m. Coding class will meet the 3rd Monday of each month. This class is best suited for ages 9-12.

All Ages:

FURever As Friends – Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog for a 15 minute time slot – This month’s dates will be Mondays, May 4 & 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 .pm. Please register by calling 467-0111 or at the library. Permission slips are required.

4th-6th grade:

Amazing Math Club Thursday, May 7 – 7 p.m. – 1st  Thursday of each month.  Be challenged, have fun, and learn new things!  Discover math can be fun!

Toddlers & Babies: Please register for all programs – space is limited

Tuesday Story Time – Story Time is a fun time!  We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (Tuesdays, May 5, 12, 19, & 26). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Wednesday Story TimeWednesday morning story time meets at 10:30 a.m. May’s dates are May 6, 13, 20, & 27 – Library meeting Room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays.  Baby Time will be held on Thursdays, May 7 & 21 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs. This month’s date are Thursdays, May 14 & 28 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Literacy Buddies – The Literacy Program provides one-on-one assistance to children learning English, phonics and reading skills, and math and Language Arts. Children interested in having a literacy buddy during the 2013-2014 school year should contact the library at 467-0111. Teens interested in being a literacy buddy, please contact the library.
