Names In The News September 2015

Ashley Lauren Bechtold of Woolwich Township graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rowan University on May 12, 2015.  Bechtold had been inducted into the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Society.  She was also awarded the Bentley Systems Structural Engineering Fellowship from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware and will start her graduate studies there in the fall. Bechtold is the daughter of Joanne and James Bechtold of Woolwich Township.

Paul Jacob, son of Jacob Kuruvilla and Jessy Jacob, a senior at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School, earned a top composite score of 36 on a recent ACT test. Nationally, while the actual number of students earning a composite score of 36 varies from year to year, on average, less than one-tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT earns the top score. Among the test takers in the high school graduate class of 2014, only 1, 407 of nearly 1.85 million students earned a composite score of 36.
