drugs webWOOLWICH TWP. — According to a post on the Woolwich Township Police Department’s Facebook page, the department collected over 80 pounds of prescription medication as part of the National Prescription Take-Back Day Program held in September.

As part of the program, anyone could drop off old or unused prescription medications for safe disposal to the police department. The goal of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Even if you miss this night, residents can still drop medication off to Woolwich Police throughout the year.
