WOOLWICH TWP. — The 2016 Swedesboro Woolwich Parks and Rec Committee is busy planning for a wonderful, activity filled year.

Park and Rec’s Daddy- Daughter dances are becoming a Swedesboro-Woolwich tradition. This event is for young ladies and their dad/grandfather/other special male relative.
Daddy-Daughter Dances (for daughters in Swedesboro or Woolwich only) will be held on March 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. for grades 2 and 3. On Saturday, March 12, the Daddy Daughter Dance for grades Pre-K to Grade 1 will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Then from 7 to 9 p.m., the dance will be held for grades 4 through 6.
Dances are by grade level. However dads with two or more girls can choose the dance they want to attend. Because of fire code capacity, tickets are limited. Tickets are $10 per father/daughter couple, $13 for a father and two daughters, and $16 for a father and three daughters plus online fees.

A golf clinic at Town and Country Golf Links is currently in the planning stages. For more information, please check the Woolwich Township website in early March.
Save the Date for the Swedesboro/Woolwich Annual Egg Scramble on Saturday, March 19. This free event will be held at the Charles G. Harker School (1771 Oldman’s Creek Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We have a new format this year with egg scrambles happening every 15 minutes for all ages. The last scramble will be held at 1 p.m.
In addition to the scramble, there will be lots of fun games, a bounce house, face painting, and refreshments (water and cookies). The Easter Bunny will be there posing for pictures offered by Perfect Day Photography (additional cost-but less than the mall).

The 2016 Health, Wellness and Safety Fair will be held Saturday, April 23 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kingsway Regional High School. We have added the Annual Camp Connection to this event.

A new fundraiser event for Adults, ages 21+, The First Annual Spring Fling, will take place on April 30 at High Hill Park from 6 to 10 p.m. This event is a fundraiser to purchase additional playground equipment for Locke Ave Park.
Bring your chairs and blankets, but don’t plan on sitting down. You’ll spend the evening dancing to three different cover bands performing some of the greatest hits from yesterday through today. Come for dinner. There will be beer, wine, and food available for purchase.
Tickets are $20 per ticket available and available online only. No coolers will be permitted into the event. Parking will be at Locke Ave Park.
All attendees will enter High Hill Park via the pedestrian bridge. Everyone must bring a photo ID to the event. Upon review of ID and ticket purchase receipt, attendees will be given a wristband.

More exciting news…Locke Ave Fun Day is now Locke Ave Fun DAYS. We have expanded the event to two days: Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15. More rides, more activities, more fun. Details will be announced at a later date.
