Mike has owned and operated Homestead Inspection Services, Inc., a home inspection business serving residential homebuyers and sellers since 1998. He has served as a licensed home inspector in both Massachusetts and Connecticut, and now serves New Jersey with a focus on Gloucester, Salem and the surrounding counties.

Growing up in Turnersville and attending the Mullica Hill Friends School a long time ago, Mike was amazed at the growth of the area that he now calls home. “We really like the balance of community growth while maintaining the small town and rural feel that I remember as a kid while attending the Friends School.”

Along with 18 years of experience, Mike brings his ACI status within the American Society of Home Inspectors to New Jersey (ASHI Certified Inspector). “Being part of ASHI is voluntary and considered above and beyond state licensing,” Mike said.

ASHI is recognized as one of the oldest and most respected professional organizations of independent home inspectors in North America. Its Standards of Practice and strict Code of Ethics are benchmarks of Professional performance in the field.

As an ACI, Mike must meet rigorous professional, technical and educational requirements, including the successful completion of examinations regarding the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. “In addition we’re required to submit previously executed home inspection reports at the random selection of ASHI for verification in meeting or exceeding the ASHI standards,” Mike said.

Additional services that Homestead Inspection Services, Inc. are qualified to provide homebuyers include radon testing, wood destroying insect certifications, and the coordination of well water testing.

“Just as when our daughters were young, we enjoyed being part of the community,” Mike said. In the coming months, Homestead Inspection Services, Inc. looks forward to the opportunity to support local youth sport teams and budgets for various fundraisers/charities. Homestead Inspection Services, Inc. further supports other local businesses by networking with the Mullica Hill Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International).

Mike believes that the ability to start up and sustain a small business for the past 18 years was only possible through positive working relationships which have been built on the foundation of integrity, dependability and the delivery of high customer satisfaction. He added, “I think we’ve come to the right place for continued success in achieving those goals.”
