logan policeFeb.18: Patrol officers arrested a 31 year old female on an outstanding warrant. She was processed and turned over to Woodstown Boro Police in default of $1000 bail.

Feb. 19: Patrol officers assisted staff at Aryzta Bakery with removing an intoxicated employee from the facility. No criminal charges were filed.

Feb. 20: A 22 year old Carneys Point man was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant and for being in possession of under 50g of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop for careless driving. He was ROR’d on the Penns Grove warrant, then processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court on the CDS charge.  

Feb. 22: A Heidi Lane resident reported being the victim of fraud/identity theft. It was reported that an unidentified male in Georgia changed the victim’s address and phone number on his credit card to a Georgia address in an attempt to purchase cell phones. The investigation was unable to identify a suspect.

Feb. 22: A 37 year old Norwood, PA man was arrested incident to a motor vehicle stop on an outstanding $1,500 warrant from Logan Township Municipal Court. He posted $60.00 and was Released on his Own Recognizance pending a new court date.

Feb. 26: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 28 year old Marlton man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released pending a date in Municipal Court.

Feb. 25: A High Hill Farms resident reported that he was the victim of an attempted fraud. He was selling items on a website called Wallapop and had agreed to a price with a prospective buyer. A few days later, he received a check for an amount well above the sale price and requested to return the difference to the “buyer.” He recognized the activity as fraud and did not cash the check. He did not incur a loss but residents are reminded to be cautious when conducting online sales/financial activity.

Feb. 26: A Veterans Drive business reported that during the overnight hours, someone burglarized the office, breaking a large exterior window to gain entry. A large safe containing approximately $15,000 was removed from within. The investigation is ongoing.

Feb. 26: An 18 year old Hancock Street resident was arrested incident to a motor vehicle stop on an outstanding warrant from Pennsville Municipal Court in the amount of $750. He was processed, posted $400 toward the bail and was released with a new court date.

Feb. 28: A 30 year old Paulsboro Road resident was arrested and charged with assault incident to a dispute. He was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

Feb. 29: A concerned citizen called 9-1-1 and reported seeing a suspicious male in the area of 285 Cedar Swamp Road. The caller also indicated that the front door appeared to have been forced open. Upon police arrival the door was, in fact, found open and conducted an interior search of the residence. Inside, police located John Wilson IV, a 19 year old Brookridge Drive resident. He was arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Theft and Criminal Mischief. Wilson was then processed and released pending a date in Gloucester County Superior Court.

March 1: An employee of Stewarts LLC reportedly committed fraud and theft by cashing paychecks twice. The owner of the company reported that the employee deposited the checks into his account through a mobile banking app then also cashed the checks in person at the bank. The company was defrauded of $2054.78. An investigation is ongoing.

March 1: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 20 year old Woolwich Township man was arrested on an outstanding Logan Township warrant in the amount of $868. He was processed and released with a new court date after posting $100 toward the bail.

March 2: A Cedar Swamp Road resident reported burglary to a garage. Missing from within were a Browning Crossbow and camouflage clothing with a total value of approximately $450.  No evidence as to the identity of the suspect(s) could be located.

March 3: Incident to a suspicious person report, a 60 year old National Park man was arrested on several outstanding warrants from West Deptford totaling $1,050. He was processed and released pending a new court date after posting $50 toward the bail.

March 6: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 19 year old Logan Township woman was arrested for DWI, underage DWI and Possession of Under 50g of Marijuana. As a result of the same incident, two 18 year old Logan Township men, an 18 year old Woolwich Township woman and an 18 year old Washington Township woman were arrested and charged with Under 50g of Marijuana. All were processed served with their summonses and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

March 7: A resident of Goldenrod Lane reported that several eggs had been thrown at his residence.

March 8: Alberts Organics, 1155 Commerce Blvd, reported that two checks originally made payable to vendors had been stolen, forged to be made payable to individuals and subsequently cashed. The total loss was approximately $55,000. The investigation is ongoing.

March 9: Penske Truck Leasing, 508 Heron Drive, reported that a customer rented a 16 foot box truck from the facility using a fraudulent credit card. Despite efforts to contact him, the vehicle was not returned so the vehicle was listed as stolen. Same was subsequently located abandoned in New York state.

March 11: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 31 year old Salem City man was arrested on two outstanding traffic warrants totaling $1,250. Same was processed and turned over to Salem City Police in default of bail.

March 12: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 31 year old Wilmington, DE woman was arrested on a Fugitive from Justice warrant from Delaware County, PA. Same was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail to await extradition to Pennsylvania.

March 13: While investigating a report of a suspicious male at the Holiday Inn, 1 Pureland Drive, police arrested 54 year old Patrick Kennedy of Topeka, KS for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. He was found to have displayed a stun gun to a female employee of the hotel while complaining about the service therein. He was processed and released pending a Grand Jury action. No one was threatened or injured during the incident.

March 14: Following a lengthy investigation into internal employee thefts from Mark IV Transportation a 45 year old West Deptford man was charged with two counts of theft. Same was processed and released pending Grand Jury action.

March 14: Officers responded to a work place dispute at 2271 High Hill Road and escorted a 20 year old Philadelphia man from the premises. No one was injured and no charges were filed as a result of the incident.

March 14: A driver reported that while travelling on I-295 a rock struck his windshield, shattering same. As a result, the 23 year old Philadelphia man suffered numerous lacerations to his face and had glass in his eyes. Gloucester County EMS transported the victim to Chester Crozer Medical Center for treatment.

March 18: Incident to a 47 year old Camden man was arrested on several outstanding child support warrants. Same was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s and subsequently remanded to the Salem County Jail.
