passMORE Dancers are stars at Nexstar

SWEDESBORO –The passMORE DANCE company recently competed very successfully at the Nexstar Philadelphia Regional Competition, held at the Pennsylvania Convention System.

The youngest members, Adie Arcari, of Pilesgrove, Sophia Chiari of Hopewell, Daija Coleman of Logan, Mikey Mallozzi of Woolwich, and Kathryn Milligan, of Alloway captured a platinum adjudication and first Overall in the Novice 8 and under Small Group category, for their tap number called Sleepover. At the end of the competition, they were named the highest scoring Novice act of the weekend. Their hip hop number, #ShakeIt, was fifth overall.

Ella Arcari of Pilesgrove was adjudicated a Platinum and received second Overall for her tap solo, Fire Under My Feet.  She also received a special judge’s award for Fierce Feet and received a PowerPac invite. Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Pilesgrove, started the second day with a Platinum third Place finish in the Duet-Trio Division.

Mackenzie Rattigan, Pilesgrove received a Platinum adjudication and third place in the Teen Solo Division. She also won a judge’s award for Stellar Taps.

Tori Scull of Mullica Hill received a seventh place Platinum in the Senior solo division.  Christina Mallozzi, Woolwich, Tori and Mackenzie all received invitations to participate in PowerPak.

In the senior photogenic division, Christina was third and Tori was second. The small tap group, Bo$$, was sixth in the teen division and the small tap group, Bugaboo, was seventh in the senior division. Bo$$ dancers were Ella Arcari, Elli Caunitis, Emmi Caunitis, Molly Lodge, Pilesgrove, and Kyleigh Price, Woolwich. Bugaboo dancers included:  Christina Mallozzi, Madison Meredith, Woolwich, Kyleigh Price, Mackenzie Rattigan, and Tori Scull.

All three of passMORE’s large groups placed in the top five. Miss Independent was second, Battle was third, and Queen M was fifth. Queen M also won a special judge’s award, the Material Girl Award.

Dancers in the large groups were:  Gabrielle Allen, Harrison, Adie and Ella Arcari, Olivia Barnhardt, Woolwich, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Sophia Chiari, Daija Coleman, Chloe Cuzzupe of Pilesgrove, Molly Lodge, Christina and Mikey Mallozzi, Alexis Marini, Pilesgrove, Madison Meredith, Kathryn Milligan, Lauren Perry, Woolwich, Kyleigh Price, Mackenzie Rattigan, and Tori Scull.

Miss Robin Passmore, owner of passMORE DANCE in Swedesboro, received a choreography award for Sleepover, and a Performance Award for Miss Independent.
