Tyler Kuni, son of Shawn and Brian Kuni, a rising Junior at St. Augustine Preparatory School has been named as a 2016 Brine National High School All-American and has been selected to represent the State of New Jersey at the 2016 Brine National Lacrosse Classic to be held in Richmond, Virginia, July 19-22. 2016. The Brine National Lacrosse Classic brings the top high school lacrosse players in the country to one venue, where regional teams compete to become the 2016 National Champion.

Marla D. Gaglione, Esquire of Logan Township has been installed as President of the Gloucester County Bar Association 2016-2017. She is a member of Ward Law Firm in West Deptford.


Sophia Arredondo, 14, from Mickleton, was crowned Miss Jr. Teen New Jersey Tourism. Sophia attends Kingsway Middle School and is on the honor roll. She was crowned on June 5 in Manhatten, NY. She will go on to National Finals on October for Miss Tourism USA 2016. She will be attending GCIT in the Fall for business and finance.

Teresa Ellen Carlton, of Swedesboro, graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania  with a degree in MSLS LSCI (Information & Library Sci MSLS).

Janelle Ivy Wellons graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on June 3, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.  During her time at MIT, Janelle has created new outreach programs for the National Society of Black Engineers, headed community service initiatives for Sigma Kappa sorority, and has lead the Space Balloon team to launch high altitude balloons to space for footage and science. She has accepted a Software Engineer position with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California and is excited to help make Mars travel a reality.

Rachel Anne Sprock, daughter of Mark and Sherryl Sprock of Clarksboro, graduated Cum Laude from Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy this May. She was a member of the Kingsway Class 2010. Rachel is planning a wedding for 2017.


Alistair V. Capri graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Carolina University on Friday, May 6. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communications, Broadcasting and Media. She is the daughter of Russell and Kim Capri of West Deptford, and granddaughter of Russell and Lucy Capri and Richard and Phyllis Murphy of Swedesboro.

Michelle L. Duerstock and Caitlin A. Hemdal, both of Swedesboro graduated from Boston University. Duerstock received a Bachelor of Science in Film and Television, Magna Cum Laude, and Hemdal received a Bachelor of Arts in  International Relations, Magna Cum Laude.

Michelle L. Duerstock of Swedesboro, has  recently been named to the Dean’s List at Boston University for the Spring  semester.
