Oct. 22:  EGTFR was dispatched to 402 Harvest Mill Way in Harrison Twp.  Harrison’s Chief arrived to find a working fire. Crews went to work extinguishing the fire. Utilities to the house were secured. Crews were in service for just over 60 minutes. Also dispatched were Harrison Twp., Glassboro, Woolwich Twp., South Harrison Twp., Elk Twp. and Gloucester County Emergency Medical Services (GCEMS).

Oct. 27: EGTFR was dispatched to mile marker 17.8 Rt. 295 for a motor vehicle crash. Crews arrived to find a vehicle flipped over into the woods. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital. The fire department was released by New Jersey State Police. Crews were in service for 25 minutes.

Oct. 31: EGTFR was dispatched to 515 Kings Highway for a fire alarm. EG Police arrived to find a repairman working on the heater accidentally started a small fire. The fire was extinguished and crews vented the residence. Crews were in service for 25 minutes.

Nov. 13: EGTFR was dispatched to 190 Harmony Road for a fire alarm. Crews arrived to find the alarm was activated by careless cooking. No fire department services were needed. Crews were in service for 18 minutes.

Nov. 17: EGTFR was dispatched to 273 N. Monmouth Avenue in West Deptford for a working dwelling fire. The crew from Rescue 1918 assisted in cooling down and overhauling the dwelling and refilling firefighter air packs. Crews were in service for an hour and 45 minutes. Also dispatched were West Deptford, Woodbury, Deptford, Westville and GCEMS.

Nov. 18: EGTFR was dispatched to 264 Thomson Avenue in Paulsboro. Paulsboro PD arrived and reported a working dwelling fire. 1918’s crew was the first to arrive and found a fire in the basement. Multiple hose lines were in service to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was out, crews went to work to ventilate and overhaul the dwelling, looking for hot spots and fire hiding in the walls. GC Fire Marshal’s office is investigating. Crews were in services for 2-1/2 hours. Also dispatched were Paulsboro, Gibbstown, West Deptford, Woodbury Heights, Westville, Woolwich and GCEMS.
