logan policeMarch 22: Incident to an illegal dumping complaint, police charged a 37 year old Penns Grove man with illegal dumping. He was issued a summons and has a date pending in Logan Township Municipal Court.

March 23: Police responded to a Township Line Road residence for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The investigation revealed that sometime between 10: p.m. on March 22 and 4:45 a.m. on March 23 a 2016 Ford was taken from the driveway of the home. The vehicle was later recovered in Camden City and released to the owner.

March 23: A Shady Brook Lane resident reported that during the overnight hours an unknown individual(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole approximately $10 in change. No suspect could be identified.

March 23: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 38 year old man from Wilmington, DE on several outstanding warrants from Salem County with bail totaling $1,219. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of bail.

March 25: Officers were dispatched to 2100 Center Square Road for a report that a stolen motor vehicle had been left at that location. Upon arrival police recovered the vehicle, a 2012 Hino box truck that had been reported stolen from Reading, PA, and spoke to a male who was in the area of the truck. The subsequent investigation revealed that the male, a 45 year old Camden man, had several outstanding warrants and he was taken into custody. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and transported to the Camden County Jail in default of more than $57,000 bail. The vehicle was impounded and subsequently returned to its owner. It should be noted that the male who had actually taken the vehicle was arrested in another jurisdiction for the theft.

March 25: A Shady Brook Lane resident reported that during the overnight hours, an unknown actor attempted to get into her residence through a window. The screen on the window was bent causing an estimated $60 in damages. No further information is available on a suspect(s).

March 26: Police responded to the ACME, 1619 Center Square Road, for a report of shoplifting.  The unidentified suspect concealed items inside his jacket and fled from the store in a silver Toyota Camry. The investigation into the suspect and the vehicle is ongoing.

March 29: Patrol officers located a vehicle on Mulberry Lane which had previously been reported stolen from Mantua Township. Same was processed with negative findings for fingerprints or anything of evidentiary value. The investigation is ongoing.

March 30: Police responded to 300 Heron Drive for a report of theft. Upon arrival it was discovered that a backpack containing $270 in cash, the victim’s identification and several credit cards was taken from a lunchroom inside the building.

March 31: Police responded to 2271 High Hill Road for a report of theft. Upon arrival it was discovered that a wallet containing the victim’s identification, various credit cards and $30 in cash was stolen from a lunchroom inside the building.

April 2: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 22 year old Wilmington, DE man was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to headquarters where he was fingerprinted, photographed and served with his summons. He was then released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

April 5: West Deptford Police arrested a 32 year old Bellmawr man, Michael Hunt, on an outstanding warrant from Logan Township dating back to 2014. Hunt had fled from a motor vehicle stop on Repaupo Station Road and eluded police. He was processed and remanded to Salem County Jail to await a detention hearing.
