SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR MAY

JACOB METHENY
JACOB METHENY

JACOB METHENY, son of Robert and Kellyanne Metheny of Mullica Hill.

School Activities: Pole vaulter for Winter and Spring Track and Field Team, Student Ambassador, Peer Facilitator, Vice President of National Honor Society, in charge of peer tutoring within the school, and team Captain on Winter and Spring Track Team.
Out of School Activities: Administrative role on Goliathon Obstacle Challenge, a non-profit organization, which has a goal of getting water to those in need around the world.

Honors/Awards: Honor Roll all four years (Principal’s List and Superintendent’s List), two times State Relay Champion in the pole vault relay, First Team All-Conference, and South Jersey Honorable Mention.

Future Plans: Jacob plans to go to Widener University in the fall and be enrolled in their accelerated Doctorate of Physical Therapy, along with pursuing a minor in Business and Leadership certification.  One day, Jacob would like to own his own physical therapy practice.

MCKENZIE NUGENT
MCKENZIE NUGENT

MCKENZIE NUGENT, daughter of Brian and Kim Nugent of Woolwich Township.

School Activities: National Honor Society, Captain of the Cross Country Team, Winter Track, and Spring Track Teams, President of Habitat for Humanity, Chemistry Club, Student Ambassador, on the executive board of Student Council, Peer Facilitator, and Fashion Club.

Out of School Activities: Mckenzie is a mentor for inbeTWEEN girls.

Honors/Awards: STEM Academy and winner of twelve varsity letters.

Future Plans: Mckenzie plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in Environmental Engineering.

SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR JUNE

SARA ALLEN
SARA ALLEN

SARA ALLEN, daughter of Reid and Tammy Allen of Woolwich Township.

School Activities: Mock Trial, National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, World Language National Honor Society, Book Club, STAFF, Band, and Varsity Golf.

Out of School Activities: 4-H, 4-H Health and Nutrition Ambassador, 4-H Teen Council, USDF varsity athlete, USEF varsity athlete, goju karate, 4-H New Jersey State Equine Science team member.

Honors/Awards: Bronze, silver, and gold Girl Scout Awards, Salem County 2015 Equestrian of the Year, 24th in the nation at second level dressage, black belt, and AP Scholar.

Future Plans: Sara plans to attend Villanova University to major in Arab and Islamic studies and Political Science.  She plans to go to law school to become an international contract lawyer.

JULIA DAVIDSON
JULIA DAVIDSON

JULIA DAVIDSON, daughter of Bill and Linda Davidson of Logan Township.

School Activities: Fall and Winter Varsity Cheerleading (captain), Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse Team (captain), (Treasurer of National Honor Society, World Language National Honor Society, Student Ambassador, Student Council Executive Board, Anti-Bullying Club, Yearbook, Habitat for Humanity, and STEM Academy.

Out of School Activities: Julia plays club lacrosse for Ultimate Lacrosse, manages a lacrosse league, tutors in seventh grade math, and volunteers.

Honors/Awards: Student Athlete of the Month for January and May 2016, Tri-County Conference Sportsmanship Award, Superintendent’s and Principal’s Lists, and First Team All-Conference in Girls’ Lacrosse for 2017.

Future Plans: Julia plans on attending St. Bonaventure University, where she will be a part of their honors program, majoring in health sciences.  She plans to further her education and would like to become a physician.  Also, at St. Bonaventure, she will be a part of their Division I women’s lacrosse team.
