MULLICA HILL — Fall is quickly approaching and with that comes all the fun.
Saturday Oct. 14, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be our 47th annual Fall Open House Weekend. So much will be happening that weekend.
Civil living history will feature skirmishes, and meet behind Sisters at 36 S. Main Street at 1:30 p.m. both days. Camp life, displays, history and hands on learning can be found. Campers will be there from Friday night living the life their ancestors did.
The event is very personal to many, portraying that ancestor. Later in the evening there is a free lantern tour of the camps at 7 p.m. behind Sisters. The tour ends with evening canon fire.
Also happening this weekend Harry Potter event. A sampling of this to come next year, Diagon Alley at Mullica Hill Art Center will have crafts, vendors and games. Hogwarts at Flossy’s teaching classes, Owlery with a post to send, wand making at the Parsonage, costume contest, scavenger hunt and photo spots. All free to all ages.
A Ghost walk will be held Saturday night only at 6 p.m. Tickets can be bought in October at Blue Plate. Funds raised benefit Historical Society.
Be sure to check out free pumpkin painting at 41 S. Main St, where Farm House Design celebrates 17 years in town with a harvest party with a bonfire, hot coco and marshmallows.
Mad Hatter will have a tea party at La Mademoiselle Macaron French Bakery located in barn behind Farm House Design. This is one of the newest businesses to come to Main St. Reservations only. Space is limited for Mad Hatter teas. Call 443-699-0769 to make your reservation.
