GALLAGHER — Rose Marie Gallagher (nee Munyan) 85, of Mickleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on July 29.

Rose Marie was a loving and caring woman that enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially cherished being surrounded by her grandchildren, traveling and vacationing in St. Augustine, FL. She had a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years as a Registered Nurse at Underwood Memorial Hospital. She retired from Underwood Memorial Hospital as the Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department.

She is the beloved wife of the late John P. Gallagher; devoted mother of Rea Gallagher, Jack Gallagher, Mark (Tracy) Gallagher, David (Susan) Gallagher and the late Nancy J. Gallagher; cherished grandmother of Andrea Marie (Nicholas) Helinski, Michael Gallagher, Stephen Gallagher, Robert Gallagher, Daniel Gallagher, Chip Gallagher, and Luke Gallagher; also survived by sister-in-law Marie Carey; dear sister to the late Frances Munyan, the late Howard Munyan; youngest daughter of the late Rose and Howard Munyan. WEICHMANN — Anna Marie (Parisi) Weichmann, age 51, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior after fighting a battle with cancer that could not be won here on earth. She passed on the morning of July 29, with family by her side.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1965 to Daniel and Patricia (DeMarco) Parisi. Anna grew up in Franklinville, NJ. She graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 1984, where she was a great athlete and crowned homecoming queen. It was at that high school where she met her high school sweetheart and love of her life Michael Weichmann. Not long after graduating they married and moved to Mullica Hill where they welcomed their first born Michael in 1987. In 1991 they were blessed with their little girl Kaitlyn. For 11 years she raised her two children and then was surprisingly blessed with a third child Jake in 2002. She was an amazing wife, the best mother, and a selfless woman who always put her family first.

Anna enjoyed the outdoors, exercising, traveling and was an amazing cook. She was a loving, caring, strong, fun and feisty woman who always knew how to make someone smile and laugh. Anna was strong in her faith and did not let her battle with cancer change that.

She is survived by her parents, Daniel and Patricia Parisi, her sister Denise (Ric) Van Dine, her brother Louis (Gigi) Parisi, 13 nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many other family members and friends. Anna was loved by so many and impacted the lives of more people than we know. While our hearts hurt because she is no longer walking this earth with us, we find much comfort in knowing she was finally healed from that terrible disease and is living in Paradise with her Savior watching over us.

ARROYO — Nereida ‘Netty’ Arroyo Nereida, 73, known by everyone as Netty, was born on the island of Puerto Rico where she spent her early childhood years. Her family moved to Buffalo, NY and then Boynton Beach, FL. this move would significantly change her life. It would be in FL where she met and married the man that she would spend the next 54 years with until his passing. However, most of her life was spent here in Gloucester County.

After much hard work and saving, she and her late husband, Frank, bought a farm and worked diligently side by side. Netty was a loving mother to three daughters and a grandmother to six grandchildren. She loved playing bingo, dominos and card games with her grandchildren. Games she enjoyed as a child herself. Netty had the heart of a caregiver which was shown through her love and devotion in the caring for her late husband, mother, and father.

Netty was a very active member in her church, Templo Faro De Luz Church in Swedesboro, which she attended for over 40 years. Her church benefited greatly with Netty being a member. Her door was always open sharing coffee, food and conversation to anyone.

Netty was the wife of the late Efrain, known as Frank to his friends and family. They were blessed with daughters: Rosa Arroyo, Luz Marx, and Julie Hawk, and those special six grandchildren – Ashley, Jacob, Abigail, Joshua, Andrew, and Alexandra. She is also survived by a brother, Jose Angel Ruiz.

CAMPBELL — Katharine Clare Campbell, age 20 passed away suddenly on Aug. 11. Born in Woodbury and raised in Mickleton, she attended the East Greenwich Elementary School. As a little girl she played soccer, basketball, the violin, and trumpet, but dance was the one activity that she enjoyed the most. Katharine attended high school at Gloucester County Institute of Technology. She was about to enter her junior year at Saint Joseph’s University where she had been enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Health Program and planned to continue to study to become an Occupational Therapist.

Katharine was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity of Service. She enjoyed participating in service programs such as the Collegiate Challenge, which is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity and the Appalachian Experience Program. Katharine enjoyed music, dance, travel, reading, and especially spending time with her dear friends and family. She will be remembered most for her strong, caring and beautiful spirit.

Katharine is survived by her mother, Jane Campbell (nee White), her brother, Colin Campbell, her grandfather, George C. White Jr., her grandmother, Clare Campbell, and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Daniel C. Campbell, and her brother, Curtis W. Campbell.

MELIS — Edna I. Melis (nee Sutherland), 76, of Mt. Royal, passed away Aug. 16. She is the wife of the late Andriano (Tony) Melis, loving mother of Angela (Raymond) Gezzi, Thomas (Dawn) Melis, grandmother of Nickolas (Gabrielle) Melis, Raymond (Angela) Gezzi, Sydney Melis, great grandmother of Cayden, Grace and Anthony. Also survived by her sister-in-law Pat Sutherland and many nieces and nephews. Her greatest love is her furbaby Molly.

Edna was the Vice President of the 1st National Bank of Woodbury for 21 years and Court Administrator for the East Greenwich Township for 18 years. She loved gardening and being at the shore with her family Bobby, Sherry, Ryan and Tyler Kraft.

OLLEY — John J. “Jack” Olley, 82, of Mullica Hill, passed away on Aug. 17 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by loved ones. Beloved husband for 36 years to the late Bernadette (Kohl), devoted father of Marialena Holloway of Wilmington, DE, John J. Olley, Jr. (Lisa) of Newark, DE, Bernadette Tanner (Wayne) of Mullica Hill, and Marc Olley (Christine) of Selbyville, DE. Loving grandfather of 12, great grandfather of four. In addition to his wife, Mr. Olley was predeceased by a son, Brian, his parents James and Ellen (Heaney) Olley, and brothers James, Frank and Paul.

Born in Buffalo, Jack has been a longtime resident of Mullica Hill and was an educator at Clearview Regional High School for over 30 years. He was Past Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name of Jesus Council 12503, and was a devoted member of the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit Parish. A role model for all, Jack was a blessing to his family and those who knew him. His kind, gentle spirit will live on through those he touched.
