Rebecca Ashton Sirko (Ashton), 13, of Woolwich Township was named the NJ State Champion Dressage Equitation Jr. on Phoenix (Simon), also Reserve Champion (2nd place) for Dressage Introductory C and Training Level 1 Junior on Phoenix (Simon) and 4th place for Dressage Introductory C and Training Level 1 Junior on her “much adored” Wenonah (Nona) at the recent New Jersey State 4-H Competition. Rebecca is the daughter of Stephan and Wanda Sirko. She is an eighth grade student at Kingsway Middle School and a member of Salem County 4-H Hoofbeats Little Britches 4-H Club. She trains with Dawn Eddis at Eddis Farm.
Alexis Penrose, 14, of Woolwich Township won 8th Place Overall for Junior Introductory Level A (3rd Place) and Introductory Level B (6th Place) on her “beloved” Kangaroo (Roo). Alexis is the daughter of Tom and Lori Penrose. She is a ninth grade student at Kingsway High School. She is a member of Salem County 4-H Hoofbeats Little Britches 4-H Club.
Amanda Shronk of Mullica Hill was among a record number of graduates presented with diplomas at UMass Lowell’s 2017 Commencement exercises in May 2017 at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. Shronk received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.
