2018 Household Special Waste collection dates announced

SOUTH HARRISON TWP. — Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger announced the dates for the County’s 2018 Household Special Waste (HSW) Collection Program with the first date taking place in April.

This service is free to Gloucester County residents only.

Items that can be dropped off include: old oil-based paint, motor oil, antifreeze, rechargeable batteries, CFL bulbs, fluorescent tubes, fire extinguishers, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, and similar materials for recycling, reuse, and/or proper disposal.

The dates for these periodic collection events include: April 21 and Sep. 22 at the Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex, 493 Monroeville Rd. (County Rt. 694), South Harrison Township; and May 19 and Oct. 20 at the Gloucester County Public Works Department, 1200 N. Delsea Dr., Clayton.

All events are conducted rain-or-shine and start at 8 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. No materials will be accepted after 2 p.m.
