Parent-2-Parent Appoints Mullica Hill Resident To Chair 20th Anniversary Celebration

MULLICA HILL — Kathleen (Kass) Foster, one of the founding members of Parent-2-Parent (“P-2-P”), announced recently that Jeffrey A. Clayton, of Mullica Hill, will chair the committee to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Parent-2-Parent’s founding.

Parent-2-Parent is a grassroots organization formed in 1998 for the purpose of helping parents and their children suffering from the ravaging effects of drug and alcohol addiction. After three of the four founding members experienced inconceivable heartbreak when they lost their own children to the drug epidemic, these women united to fight.

They have demonstrated that an effective battle can be waged against drug and alcohol abuse through education, support and advocacy. P-2-P helps with access to quality, affordable, comprehensive treatment services so that no one is denied the opportunity to seek recovery.

Foster stated that this 20 year celebration “will be a Night of Hope for all of those who have helped families and their loved ones on the road to recovery since 1997.”

Clayton, who encouraged and assisted with the formation of P-2-P, has worked in the addictions field in southern New Jersey for more than 45 years, after earning his bachelor’s degree from Rowan University, and his M.A. from the University of Delaware. He also holds several licenses and certifications, including LPC, LCADC, ACS, and CCS.

He is the Regional Clinical Director of Helping Hand Behavioral Health, and resides in Mullica Hill with his wife, Linda.

“Assisting P2P to achieve its goal to help parents and clients find help in their battles against addiction has resulted in bringing this crisis to the attention of government officials and the public. Through the efforts of these tireless women, additional services and thousands of dollars have been made available to aid in fighting this disease. I’m pleased to assist in bringing recognition to them and their cause.”

Parent-To-Parent’s Celebration Dinner will be held at Auletto’s in Deptford on Thursday, March 22. To make reservations, or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, call (856) 983-3328 or email p2p@raproom.org.  Seating is limited so contact P2P early.
