Penske Logistics Inducts Two Bridgeport, Employees into 2018 Truck Driver Wall of Fame

READING, Pa. — Two Penske Logistics truck drivers from Bridgeport are now members of the Penske Logistics Driver Wall of Fame.

Dave Wojciechowski and David Evans Jr. have reached the highest level of safety and professionalism after attaining the rare 20-year mark of consecutive accident-free driving as Penske Logistics truck drivers.

They are among 15 truck drivers in the 2018 class and 41 all-time members of the Penske Logistics Wall of Fame (this is the second year).

Evans has been a truck driver for 24 years, and nearly 21 of those years has been for Penske. Evans stated: “I was inspired to become a truck driver because of the freedom being on-the-road provides. It is great to be recognized for such an achievement.”

Wojciechowski has been a professional truck driver for over 20 years. He regards his induction as an honor.

They each have now attained Diamond Class status as part of Penske’s Premier Driver Recognition Program that honors the best drivers among the company’s more than 5,000 truck drivers in North America. There are three program classes, correlating with the number of years of safe driving without an accident: Diamond (20 years), Platinum (15 years) and Gold (10 years).

Their inductions came at an awards ceremony in Reading, Pennsylvania, where the company headquarters are located.

“It is remarkable to induct another Diamond Class to our Wall of Fame,” stated Marc Althen, Penske Logistics president. “These drivers are the best of the best and they serve as an inspiration to the 5,000 truck drivers that are servicing our customers safely each and every day.”
