Trinity “Old Swedes” Episcopal Church Welcomes New Priest-in-Charge

SWEDESBORO — The Trinity Vestry is pleased to announce the calling of Reverend Gregory Wilson as our new Priest-in-Charge starting Sunday, May 12. 

Father Greg, as he is known, has a strong passion for finding Jesus’ church among a new generation. Youth ministry has been central and formative to his own journey and he brings unique talents and experience in helping congregations navigate through change; both in managing challenges and through forming creative ministries.

He grew up in West Chester, PA, and became active in the Episcopal Campus Ministry while attending the University of Delaware and eventually felt a call to the ministry. He completed seminary at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA and was ordained in 2002.

For the past three years, Father Greg served as the Family and Youth Minister at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Kenneth Square, PA.

He was also Rector of Resurrection Episcopal Church in Aston PA for six years, worked as the joint Lutheran and Episcopal Chaplain at Temple University while serving on staff at the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania, and for two years was responsible for youth and campus ministry at Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges.

Father Greg holds a Masters in Social Service and is a Licensed Social Worker and co-owner of Sage Counseling, LLC which provides counseling on issues of grief, adolescent development, life transitions, anxiety and depression, and substance abuse.  

Please join in on Sunday, May 12 to extend a warm welcome to Father Greg and his family. A reception in the Parish Hall will follow the 9:30 a.m. service.
