Botto & Gallagher To Compete in NYFL

WOOLWICH TWP. — Congratulations to Domenic Botto, Jr. and Madeleine Gallagher, who were nominated by Chris Macguigan of General Charles G. Harker School to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Pathways to STEM, an Envision program, to be held at Villanova University from June 23 to June 28.

Both Domenic and Madeleine were selected by Macguigan for their high level of motivation, maturity, scholastic merit, and leadership potential.  They will be joining other young students from around the region in intensive, engaging, hands-on workshops focused on self-management, time management, communication, collaboration, and goal setting. They will have the opportunity to explore a future career in the following STEM pathways: engineering, medicine, and detective work. They will also practice medical techniques during a realistic simulation created by two professors/doctors from the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Domenic, a fifth grader, is the son of Domenic Botto, Sr. and Diana Botto of Woolwich Township.  His activities are lacrosse, basketball, and soccer.  His future goal is to help run the family business.

Madeleine, also a fifth grader, is the daughter of William R. Gallagher, III and Gretchen Gallagher of Woolwich Township. Her activities are piano and fencing.  She loves science and she aspires to become a dermatologist and open her own office.
