SWEDESBORO — A Lake Narraticon Clean Up will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Every October the Swedesboro Woolwich Environmental Commission asks Gloucester County to lower Lake Narration to expose the shoreline. Lakefront residents take this time to make repairs to their shoreline, docks or water walls. During the clean up on Oct. 12 and 13, members of the Environmental Commission will be on site at Lake Narraticon Park with trash pickers, bags, gloves, and rakes to help clean up the park and shoreline. This event is open to the community and students to earn community service hours. It is a beautiful time of year to get outside and help your environment. Swedesboro Woolwich Environmental Commission volunteer Lynne Bussott is shown here going out in a kayak to get the trash out of the lake. Volunteer your time and help keep our community clean.
