Pirates Remain Undefeated

LOGAN TWP. — The Peachwood Pirates polished off an exciting undefeated season with an impressive showing by their top swimmers at the 2019 Suburban Swimming Association of New Jersey Championships at Larchmont Swim Club in Mt. Laurel on July 27-28.

Ava Rodgers (gold cap, blue and black suit) won girls 9-10 25 fly fast time of 15

Ten-year-old Ava Rodgers took home first place in 9-10 girls 25 meter fly, 100 meter IM and 50 meter freestyle and won the high point award for her age group. Thirteen-year-old Nathaniel Miller won first and fourteen-year-old Hunter Streitz third place in in mens 13-14 50 meter breaststroke.

The boys 11-12 medley relay team, composed of Connor Scheckner, Luc Streitz, Christopher Green and Jack Cordery, won first place, and the boys 11-12 freestyle relay team of Jack Cordery, Garett Danze, Christopher Green and Luc Streitz placed second. Many other swimmers had strong performances. The team will move up to the league’s top division next summer.
