Woolwich Tree Lighting & Holiday Village, Nov. 30

WOOLWICH TWP. — Stay in town after the Swedesboro Holiday Parade and head to Locke Ave Park for the Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Village on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The free festivities for children are Santa photos, moon bounce, crafts, cookies, hot chocolate and sleigh rides around the park. New this year is the adult holiday beer garden with Death of Fox Brewing Company.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate. Many thanks to our event co-sponsor Grace Church of Swedesboro.

Interested in joining the village? Community-based businesses, groups, churches, and organizations are invited to participate for free. We ask that organizations have a free activity, giveaway, or handout for event attendees.

Organizations can obtain registration information at woolwichtwp.org. Please register by Nov. 15. The rain date is Dec. 7.

BOWLING PARTY

Swedesboro and Woolwich residents are invited to a Family Bowling Party on Monday, Dec. 30 at the Wood Lanes in Woodstown from 11 to 1 p.m. The entire bowling alley has been rented so come for some bowling fun for just $12 per person. Cash payment only. Participants will get two hours of bowling, shoe rental, a slice of pizza, soda and a cookie.

No early registration required; just come to the bowling alley. Please arrive by 10:45 a.m. so that we can assign bowling lanes more efficiently. Wood Lanes are located at 1173 Route 40, Woodstown. For directions, please call (856)769-8709.

Swedesboro Woolwich Parks and Recreation Committee is always looking for volunteers. Our meetings are the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Woolwich Municipal Building.
