MULLICA HILL — Once again the holidays are upon us and there’s no better way to celebrate than an old fashioned Christmas. Come to Main Street on Dec. 14 for historic Mullica Hill’s 46th annual Christmas house tour.

Seven private homes will be open for the tour and decorated in holiday splendor as well as churches and public buildings. Shops will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The house tour runs 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Charitable donations will be made to two local children’s charities from proceeds of the ticket sales.

Tickets are $15 each. Transportation is on Main Street and there will be treats, bon fires, live music, and more. You can also stop in to shop at the open house specials at the variety of stores in the downtown.

There will be a Toys for Tots Collection at Farmhouse Design. Drop an unwrapped toy for a boy or girl and receive a special treat.

Many shops will be offering refreshments with a holiday flavor. Visit Artisan Marshmallow and purchase marshmallows to roast over a bonfire right there at their door. Visit 322 BBQ to buy a steak and grill it right there outside on an open flame grill.

Flossie’s Boutique will offer holiday gifts as well as warm coats and earmuffs for that special young girl. Need something special to wear to the holiday party? Visit Dressing Room on Main.

Many shops like Haven and Emerald City Tea will have that just right gift for someone who has everything. Restaurants open include the one and only Mademoiselle with the tastiest baked goods ever offered in holiday flavors. Don’t miss Blue Plate now open with extra seating and holiday menus, or Naples at the Warehouse.

There will be a separate ticket event for photos and s’mores with Santa at Farmhouse Design. Tickets are $5. Children under 2 years are free. Bring your camera for a time session with Santa, then enjoy s’mores by the bonfire.
