April 2: Officers responded to Coast Global Corp. on Pedricktown Rd. for a Theft report. It was reported to Officers that someone entered the property on April 1 and removed wood pallets, valued at $160. This investigation has been turned over to the Detective Unit to follow leads and evidence that was recovered.

April 6: Officers were dispatched to XPO Logistics on Arlington Blvd. for an unwanted person. As Officers investigated, they learned that the person was an employee that was under the influence of a substance. Further investigation lead to the arrest of a 32-year-old male from Wilmington, DE for Possession of 27 bags of Heroine. He was processed and was released on a summons with a pending court date.

April 7: Officers were dispatched to the Acme on Center Square Rd. for a Shoplifting report. Store personnel approached the suspect after he exited the store with a cart full of baby formula and other products, valued at $650. The suspect, a 67 year old male from Penns Grove was charged with Shoplifting and released on a summons with a pending court date.

April 9: Officers were dispatched to Amazon on Oldman’s Creek Rd. for a Theft report. It was reported to Officers that an employee was removing Apple watches, airpods, several iPhone 11, and several Galaxy S10 phones from the facility on multiple occasions. The value of the items removed is over $7,000. Officers identified the 34-year-old Philadelphia man, placed him under arrest and charged him with the Theft. He was processed and released on a summons with a pending court date.

April 9: Officers responded to Amazon on Oldman’s Creek Rd. for a Theft report. It was reported that an employee was removing Apple watches and Apple airpods from their boxes in an attempt to remove them from the facility. The 37-year-old female from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with the Theft. She was released on a summons with a pending court date. The value of the items is estimated at $550.

April 13: Officers responded to the Rite Aid on Village Center Dr. for a report of Shoplifting. It was reported to Officers that a white female, approximately 50 years old, left the Rite Aid without paying for detergent and other items, valued at $70. A suspect was identified, and charges are forthcoming.

April 16: Officers responded to the Wawa on Center Square Rd. for a Shoplifting complaint. It was reported that a black male entered the store, grabbed a carton of cigarettes (valued at $100) and fled. Officers are in the process of following leads and a suspect for pending charges.

April 16: Officers were dispatched to the Wawa on Center Square Rd. for a report of an Assault. Investigation revealed that the incident stemmed from a road rage incident, and the drivers of the vehicles began fighting. Both suspects, a 24 year old female from Camden, and a 34-year-old female from Philadelphia were both charged with Simple Assault and were released pending future court dates.

April 16: Officers responded to the Gastrol on Center Square Rd. for a Burglary and Theft report. A black male entered the store part of the business, and stole approximately $115 dollars from the register, along with cigarettes. The same male returned for a second time removing more cigarettes and lottery tickets. Total value stolen is estimated at over $2,000. The Detective Unit is following up with evidence recovered from the scene.

April 20: Officers responded to Taylor Farms on Heron Dr. for a Theft report. It was reported to Officers that someone removed several credit cards from an unattended wallet, and used the cards to purchase items at local businesses. The suspect’s image was captured on surveillance, and charges are pending.

April 27: Officers were dispatched to Oldman’s Creek Rd. for a motor vehicle accident. Upon Officer’s arrival, they observed a vehicle take down a fence and strike a greenhouse. The damage to the vehicle was inconsistent with this crash, and after checking the area, found that the vehicle struck a guardrail further down the road. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Wilmington man for Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and released with a pending court date.
