According to a notice sent out to parents by the school district, East Greenwich Schools will go to all remote learning beginning Nov. 18 through Dec. 2. The school was notified that 2 individuals tested positive for COVID-19. One at the Jeffrey Clark School, and one at the Samuel Mickle School. This is the third positive case of COVID-19 in two days. According to the notice, in two of the three cases, exposure occurred outside of the schools. At this time, they consider the three cases to be separate exposures that are not linked together, but contact tracing has not been completed. But the increases in positive cases and the mandatory quarantine orders have presented staffing issue. The notice said that at the conclusion of these two weeks, they are hopeful the rate of spread in Gloucester County and East Greenwich will be reduced enough to allow them to continue with in-person instruction safely.Kingsway Regional Middle and High School is already in all remote learning until Thanksgiving.
