September is Library Card Sign up Month!

MULLICA HILL — The Gloucester County Library System (GCLS) is celebrating Library Card Sign up Month with a fun new systemwide initiative.

The Pages and Places: The Great Library Treasure Hunt! invites you to visit each of the GCLS Branch Libraries in September. In order to participate, go to your local GCSL Branch Library and pick up your treasure map along with a treasure chest.

The treasure map is your official guide to all five branch libraries including one independent association library. With treasure map in hand, plan your visit to the library.

As you visit each library, present your treasure map and library card to staff at the front desk along with an item to check out. Upon doing so, staff will send you on a treasure hunt, stamp your treasure map and provide you with a treasure.

Visit as many branches as possible to fill your treasure chest. Once your map has a stamp from each branch library, return it to your home library and be entered into a drawing to win a grand prize.

If you do not have a library card, stop by any GCLS Branch Library to sign up and begin your treasure hunt. The Pages and Places: The Great Library Treasure Hunt! runs Sept. 1 through Sept. 30 while supplies last. All ages welcome.

GCLS Branch Libraries are located in Glassboro, Greenwich Township, Logan Township, Mullica Hill and Swedesboro. Patrons who travel to the independent association library located in Newfield, will receive two entries for the grand prize drawing.

The Pages and Places: The Great Library Treasure Hunt! is open to GCLS card holders only. For more information and instructions visit www.gcls.org or call 856-223-6050.
