SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER

JESSICA LAIL

JESSICA LAIL, daughter of Mark and Karin Lail of Mickleton.

School Activities: Captain of Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Track and Field, Executive Member of Student Council, National Honor Society President, Student Ambassador, Interact, PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving), World Language National Honor Society, and STEM Academy.

Out of School Activities: Secretary of the New Jersey Association of Student Councils, Cherry Hill Volleyball Club, Assistant Sunday School teacher at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, beach volleyball, Jersey Defenders AAV Basketball, Leadership Training Conference, In-House Model, and Sales Associate at Jan’s Boutique.

Honors/Awards:  National AP Scholar, Volleyball: First Team All-Conference, South Jersey Times All Area Team, Tri-County Sportsmanship Award.  In April 2014, Jessica was selected   Spotlight Student of the Month for Science in Grade 9.  She was also selected Physical Education Student of the Month for November 2015 in Grade 11.

Future Plans:  Jessica plans to attend a four-year university next fall and pursue a career in the STEM field.

VICTORIA MBAKWE

VICTORIA MBAKWE, daughter of Jerry and Glory Mbakwe of Woolwich Township.

School Activities: Captain of Field Hockey Team, Student Council Executive Board, Vice President of Student Council, Interact, National Honor Society, World Language National Honor Society, Vice President of the Senior Class, and Student Ambassador.

Out of School Activities:  Victoria volunteers at Head Start.

Honors/Awards:  National Academy of Future Physicians, and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence.

Future Plans:  Victoria plans to major in Business Marketing and to one-day work for an NFL team.
