SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER

ERIN GRAY, daughter of Bill and Maureen Gray of Mickleton.

School Activities: Captain of Varsity Cheerleading, Track, Student Ambassador, Student Council Executive member, Anti-bullying Club, Peer Facilitator, secretary of National Honor Society, and World Language National Honor Society.

Out of School Activities: Works at Heritage’s, and helps with Hoops for Soup.

Honors/Awards:  Participated in Girls’ State, Athlete of the Month for December 2015 for fall cheerleading, First Team All-Conference for pole vaulting, and Honor Roll throughout all of high school.

Future Plans:  Erin plans to attend a university and study engineering.

ANASTASIOS KALFAS
 ANASTASIOS KALFAS

ANASTASIOS KALFAS, son of Caroline Kalfas and George Kalfas (deceased) of Woolwich Township.

School Activities: Marching Band, Select Jazz Ensemble, Mock Trial, Debate Club, delegate to Princeton and New Jersey Model Congresses, delegate to American Legion Jersey Boys’ State, New Jersey Scholar at the Lawrenceville School, National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Astronomy Club, Rowan College High School Option Student, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Out of School Activities:  Boy Scouts (candidate for Eagle Scout Award), head instructor at the Pine Hill Scout Reservation National Youth Leadership Training Course, St. Clare of Assisi Parish Music Ministry, bugler, and stamp collector.

Honors/Awards:  STEM Academy, and member of the 2015 USBands Group IIA National Championship Kingsway Marching Band.

Future Plans:  Anastasios plans to study political science and economics in Washington, D.C., and would like to pursue a graduate degree in public policy.
