SWEDESBORO – Businesses in Swedesboro are being asked to help show community support by Lighting it Up Blue in Swedesboro to show support for Autism Awareness Month.
According to Swedesboro Mayor Tom Fromm, this is done each year to show that the community wants to let all the people who deal with autism every day know that we support them. “Our goal is also to increase awareness of autism and especially how early detection and treatment can have a tremendous impact on our children,” he stated in an email to businesses in the area.
“I am asking all of our Swedesboro businesses to swap out a couple of your outdoor lights with blue bulbs from April 2nd until April 30th,” Fromm wrote. The town will be doing its part once again by lighting up the streetlights and buildings with blue lights.
