WOOLWICH TWP. — Woolwich Township native Jaime Gialloreto, 19, was crowned Miss New Jersey on June 17 in Ocean City and will be competing in the Miss American Pageant in September in Atlantic City.
This is Gialloreto’s second year of competing in the pageant, finishing as third runner up last year. Representing Miss South Shore, Gialloreto said during an interview, that she considers herself a “shlocal” to the shore area because she’s not a shoobie and yet not a local. Her grandparents own a home in Wildwood Crest and she has spent her summers there.
Gialloreto, who is a student at Loyola University, has “Don’t Get Nutty: Food Allergy Awareness” as her pageant platform. She said her brother has food allergies. Her talent is dance.
