Logan Dancer Performing At Radio City Music Hall

JENNA WALDRON

NEW YORK CITY — On April 9, Jenna Waldron, 15, of Logan Township will be performing at Radio City Music Hall in the 13th annual Garden of Dreams Talent Show. The event is free and open to the public.

The Talent Show is an annual event where children from The Garden of Dreams Foundation’s various partner organizations are presented with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall. For one memorable evening in front of their family and friends, the children perform their talents, forgetting their problems and celebrating their unique voices.

In eighth grade, Jenna’s doctors discovered two thyroid nodules and two swollen lymph nodes. She was subsequently diagnosed with thyroid cancer when she was 13.

Because she had to have her thyroid removed, there was a risk that her vocal chords could be damaged, and she would never be able to sing again. Fortunately, with the help of her doctors and surgeons, Jenna was able to sing a solo in her school musical only three months after her surgery.

Jenna has started an Instagram account and YouTube channel to spread awareness about Pediatric Thyroid Cancer. Through Make-A-Wish New Jersey, she had her wish to have a professional photoshoot in New York City fulfilled last spring with Time Magazine.

Over the past few years, Jenna has continuously turned to singing to help her through her tough times. With the help of Make-A-Wish and Garden of Dreams, she has found a renewed strength and confidence in performing. At the Talent Show, Jenna will be singing “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit organization that works with The Madison Square Garden Company and MSG Networks, Inc. to positively impact the lives of children facing obstacles.
