Lots of activities are planned for the Fall! The Swedesboro-Woolwich Parks & Recreation Committee has been busy planning lots of exciting activities for our community. We can always use extra sets of hands at our events.
BINGO: Want to play B-I-N-G-O? We are hosting a Family Bingo Night on Friday, Oct. 7 in the Woolwich Twp. Municipal Building starting at 7 p.m. We will play seven games and provide light refreshments. The winning table for each game will get sweet treats.
The winner of the final game will take home a $30 gift certificate from a local business. There is a $4 per person fee to attend. Please check our Facebook page for registration information.
TUMBLING: Come tumble at Locke Ave Park with Rocket Power Academy on Monday, Oct. 10 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Rocket Power Academy is hosting a free event with a tumbling course, slack line balance training, and skate or scooter activity. All equipment will be provided.

RAAS GARBA: Raas Garba is a celebration for harvest. The community is welcomed to attend this celebration on Oct. 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Woolwich Municipal Building. The cost is $10 per person and for children under age 4 is no charge.
The event will include a one-hour workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by dancing. Please come wearing comfortable shoes or sneakers.
HALLOWEEN FUN: The Not So Scary Halloween Parade and Movie will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Woolwich Township Municipal Building from 1 to 3 p.m. Come dressed in costume and parade outside the building, then enjoy a family friendly movie. Refreshments will be provided. A parent must accompany all children.
PAINTING CLASSES: Nicole Blank, a local artist and owner of The Blank Canvas Splattered, will conduct a children’s painting class on Thursday, Nov. 10 for children aged 7 or older from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Woolwich Township Municipal Building. The cost is $20 per child.
There will be a second class for adults starting at 6:30 p.m. and the cost is $27 per adult. All materials will be supplied. No refreshments will be provided. The pictures to be painted and a link to register for the classes is on our Facebook page.
CARD WRITING: The Parks and Rec Committee is having a holiday card writing party from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. We are asking the community to stop by the Municipal Building and write out holiday cards to send to military personnel. The cards will be provided.
