Homeschool Hangout: Friday, Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m. Come out and do some hands-on learning! We will be doing a fun science experiment.

Community Helper’s Club: Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. This monthly meeting is to put like-minded tweens and teens together to discuss how to make our communities a better place. We will be talking about topics such as going green, donating supplies or even helping the elderly. Each month will have a new issue so you can bounce ideas off of each other. Ages 9 to 17. Please register as space is limited.

Boo Bash: Monday, Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. Come out and celebrate Halloween with us! Digger and David will be here to perform a fun show called The Big Sleepover! This will be a story about friendship and Halloween on a dark stormy night! We will have a fun goody bag for the children to take home as well!

Medicare with Confidence: Monday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. This free seminar will educate you on the basics of Medicare, important terminology, enrollment periods, plan types available and cost assistance options. The presenter will be Scott Bornfreund who is with SMS Insurance Agency.

Everybody Sign: Basic American Sign Language Lessons: First Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join us for an interactive class exploring the basics of American Sign Language (ASL).   Whether you’re curious, just starting out, or looking to enhance your communication skills, this class is a great place to begin! Dia de los Muertos: Saturday, Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m.Learn about Dia de los Muertos, a vibrant Mexican holiday to honor and remember loved ones. Socrates Café: Thursdays, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 at 10:30 a.m.Join us as we pose questions and exchange our thoughts on subjects selected by the group. No formal education in philosophy is needed, just a questioning mind. Attendance is in-person or virtually.

Chair Yoga with Sheetal: Wednesdays, Oct. 1 at 5:30 p.m. and Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m. Come unwind and relax at the end of your day! Join Dr. Sheetal Parikh in this 6-week series as she leads participants through a 30-minute chair yoga class. Comfortable attire and a water bottle are recommended for attendees.

Board and Card Games: Thursdays, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 at 1 p.m.Have a fun time playing board games. A variety of games are played each week.

Gaming Get-Together: Fridays, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 at 1 p.m.Get together and play a game with other novices at the library! There is a different game highlighted every week. This is a friendly group, but some experience/knowledge of the game is a plus. Please register, as we have limited sets.

Memory Preservation Station: Friday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m.Preserve your family’s treasured memories with our VHS-to-DVD converter, Slide Film Scanner, and 8mm/Super8 Film Reel Converter by reserving a 2.5 hour time slot in our MakerStudio at the Logan Library.

POP of Art!: Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11:30 p.m. Come join us for this educational and interactive 10-part series, POP of Art. Local artist Loren Dann will educate attendees about the life and artwork of street artist, Shepard Fairyay. Please register!

3D Printer Certification: Friday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, Oct. 21 & Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. Get certified to use our MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printer, and start your own Maker Movement today. Read and Do Bags!:  Limited to one per child, each bag contains 2 to 3 library books, a coloring page, and a simple craft you can do with your child at home. Different themes are available while supplies last. Please bring your bag to the circulation desk for checkout.

Grab and Go Kits for Children: Limited to one per child, each bag includes simple crafts you can do at home! There will be two new crafts per month. First-come, first-served, while supplies last.
