Building Fire: 1; Rubbish Fire: 1; Vehicle Fire: 1; Motor Vehicle Crash: 5; Fire Investigation: 1; Fire Alarm:         4; Fumes: 3; Special Assignment: 5

Oct. 6: At 20:32, Kings Hwy. at Cedar Rd. for a vehicle fire. Report was a vehicle on the side of the roadway smoking. EGPD was on scene advising vehicle not smoking, requesting EGTFR recall. Chief Gould (1901) ordered Engine 1911 to hold at station and proceeded in to confirm no fire. On arrival, 1901 confirmed no fire and recalled the station. Units were in service for 9 minutes.

Oct. 10: At 10:31, E. Cohawkin Rd. at Heritage Rd. for a motor vehicle crash. While setting up for a fire prevention display at Toddlers N Tots, Gloucester County Communications advised the station was being dispatched for a MVC. Chief Gould (1901) arrived and reported a two vehicle MVC with one of the vehicles on its side. All of the occupants were out and no rescue needed. Rescue 1918 arrived and stood by to control fluid leaks. The station was in service for 29 minutes.

Oct. 15: At 19:28, Kings Hwy. at the Mantua Creek for a motor vehicle crash.  Rescue 1918 arrived to find a vehicle MVC into woods with one patient trapped. Gibbstown Rescue 2118 was also dispatched. The crew from 1918 went to work stabilizing the vehicle. Rescue 2118 arrived and assisted 1918’s crew in extricating the patient. Patient was turned over to Gloucester Co. EMS. 1918 stood by until vehicle was removed by the towing company. The station was in service for 62 minutes.

Oct. 25: At 08:56, 158 E. Wolfert Station Rd. for fumes. A vehicle accidentally ran over the fill port for an underground propane tank, causing a leak. Deputy Chief Hall (1902) arrived to find a heavy odor of propane in the area and the residence evacuated. He ordered the crew from Rescue 1918 to monitor the residence and a nearby barn for residual propane. The crew reported the barn and house clear of propane and they secured power to both. Crews were able to slow the leak using a wooden plug and duct tape. Crews stood by until Suburban Propane arrived to pump out remaining propane and repair the damage. The station was in service for 3 hours and 21 minutes.

Oct. 25: At 17:27, 220 Kings Hwy. for a rubbish fire. Crews arrived to find a resident burning trash in their driveway. The fire was extinguished. The station was in service for 11 minutes.

Oct. 28: At 15:00, 14 W. Cohawkin Rd., the Evangelical Methodist Church, for a Special Assignment. Engine 1911 participated in the church’s Trunk or Treat event. Crews passed out candy to trick or treaters. They gave the kids and parents tours of the engine and allowed kids to climb in and see what it’s like to be a real firefighter. The crew was in service for 3 hours.

Oct. 30: At 19:30, 2303 Royal Crescent Ct. for a fire investigation. The caller reported a burning smell in the entrance area. Crews arrived and investigated. Nothing was found and the scene was turned over EGPD. The station was in service for 21 minutes.
