July 13 at 08:26: Route 295 at mile-marker 17.8 for a Motor Vehicle Crash. EGTFR and Gibbstown Fire were dispatched to the area of mile-marker 17.8 on Rt. 295 northbound for a four vehicle MVC.  1902 (Dep. Chief Hall) arrived and found NJ DOT already on scene. There was no entrapment and GC EMS was treating the injured. No fire department services were needed and the assignment was recalled. The station was in service for 16 mins.

July 16 at 17:46: 415 Concetta Drive for Interior Fumes. The caller was reporting the smell of gas from the stove. Rescue 1918 arrived and investigated. The leak was isolated to the stove. SJ Gas was notified and crews vented the residence. The scene was turned over to SJ Gas. The crew was in service for 24 mins.

July 17 at 22:17: 85 E. Tomlin Station Road for a Dwelling Fire. Gloucester County 911 received multiple calls for a house on fire. 1902 (Dep. Chief Hall) arrived and confirmed a working house fire. He called for the All Hands Box. A neighbor reported the homeowner’s car was in the driveway, but he did not know if they were home. 1902 ordered Rescue 1918 and Ladder 1916’s crew to stretch hose lines and begin a search and rescue operation. Crews began searching but no one was found. Due to lack of hydrants, 1902 requested a Tender Task Force assignment. 20 minutes into operations, the roof collapsed and the building became structurally unstable. 1902 called for the evacuation of the building, going to exterior firefighting operations. It was later discovered the residents were away on vacation. Multiple crews from different fire departments assisted in extinguishing the fire. Crews remained on scene to assist with the investigation and to cool down hot spots. Also dispatched were Harrison, Woolwich, Gibbstown, Logan, Woodbury Heights, West Deptford, Glassboro, Deptford, Westville, Franklin Twp, South Harrison, Elk Twp, Mantua Twp and GC EMS. The fire is under investigation by the GC Fire Marshall’s Office. The station was in service for 4 hours and 4 mins.

July 21 at 23:43: Route 295 at Exit 18 for an Assist Police assignment. NJ State Police requested EGTFR for traffic control at the scene of a jack knifed tractor trailer. 1901 (Chief Gould), Rescue 1918 and Engine 1911 took blocking positions and shut down 2 of the 3 northbound lanes. Just after 1 a.m., all three lanes were shut down to allow the tow company to clear the tractor trailer from the scene. Road control was turned over to NJSP and NJ DOT. The station was in service for 2 hours and 20 mins.

July 29 at 02:32: 31 Whiskey Mil Road for a Motor Vehicle Crash. 1901 (Chief Gould) arrived to find a 2 vehicle MVC, 1 vehicle versus a parked car with 2 injured persons. 1 person was face down out of the vehicle and the other was trapped inside the vehicle. A medical helicopter was put on stand-by. GC EMS began treating the first person. Rescue 1918’s crew went into service to extricate the trapped victim. Once extricated, the patient was turned over to GC EMS for treatment and the helicopter was recalled. The station was in service for 1 hour and 9 mins.

July 30 at 20:52: 240 Iannelli Road for Exterior Gas Fumes. 1901 (Chief Gould) arrived and found gas leaking from a pipe connected to the exterior gas meter. SJ Gas was requested to respond. Rescue 1918 and Engine 1911 stood by until they arrived. The station was in service for 49 mins.
