5WOOLWICH TWP. — Picture it; carnival rides everywhere, the smell of funnel cake in the air, the excited laughter of children as they run past, the melody of a great band playing in the background, and seeing your family smiling and having a great time together.
On May 14 and 15, you don’t have to just imagine it, you can live it at Locke Avenue Fun Days! Held at Locke Ave Park, Fun Days will provide rides, games, food, and fun for everyone.
On Saturday, May 14 the event starts at noon and ends at 9 p.m. with a colorful firework display. In between those hours there is a main stage with several bands for a toe tapping good time, and an amphitheater where local talent showcase their skills. A full schedule of performances is located in our ad and on the Woolwich Township website.
Local businesses and vendors will line a welcome walkway greeting everyone as they enter. A rock wall, moon bounces, and a spinning tubs-of-fun are some of the carnival rides located on the midway. Tickets and two day unlimited ride wristbands will be sold at the event.
There are so many rides they are spread out over two fields. Even Fido can be a part of Fun Day. FURever as Friends is sponsoring a pet contest for the cutest/ most waggiest tail/ and the best costumed pet at Fun Day. Times and entry forms are available online or at the event.
On Sunday, Fun Day resumes at noon with another full line-up on the main stage and even more to do. Go for a pony ride, visit with the animals at the free petting zoo, or try a game of bubbleball soccer. Little kids will especially love the acts on the main stage. It’s all for them, and they can become part of the show.
Delicious dining and delectable treats await even the pickiest of eaters at our food trucks. Come for lunch or dinner either day. There’s sure to be something you like.
Sunday’s Fun Day concludes at 6pm. The entire event is cash only, with a rain date of Sunday May 15 only.
