MULLICA HILL – Run for the (hot) dogs and cats(up) is the inaugural 5K run and 1 mile walk benefitting the Gypsy Rose Animal Foundation to be held on Sept. 22 at Ella Harrison Park in Mullica Hill.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run starts at 9 a.m. with the walk immediately following. Age group awards are three deep and all participants will receive a hot dog and water after the event.

Pre-registrants will also be guaranteed an event shirt. Sign up at www.runsignup.com/gypsyrose5k or find them on Facebook at GypsyRose Animal Foundation. Questions can be directed to DelValVet@comcast.net.

With the support of generous donors, the Foundation provides funding for abandoned or stray animals to receive the medical care they need so that they may find their forever home. Locally, the foundation works closely with Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital of Mullica Hill.

In addition to runners and walkers, the foundation is always looking for foster homes and adopters.

Ella Harris Park is dog friendly and people are invited to walk with their pets. Please make sure all pets are properly restrained.
