MULLICA HILL — The past and present come alive in Mullica Hill on Dec. 9 from 2 to 7 p.m. the village opens its doors to welcome one and all with its annual House Tour.

Promising to be its best yet, Chairperson Hazel Dilsaver said they have eight homes this year, one which is totally new to the tour.

“And we are excited to show restoration in the making on the beautiful home,” said Dilsaver. As always the Spicer House will not disappoint. Redone from top to bottom just for the tour, it will be serving refreshments by the bonfire. It is a Victorian must see and one of the oldest homes in Mullica Hill.

“Did I mention the cutest apartment with the best antique collection ever?” asked Dilsaver. “Two homes will need a drive to but worth the effort. One is a 1700’s salt box and the other a railroader workers cottage.”

There is so much this year to put you in the Christmas spirit. The street will be lined with lights, and just a chill in the air, some wood smoke and hot cocoa. The eight homes, churches and historic buildings will be open plus all participating shops will have special events. Old Town Hall will host entertainment, and Farm House Design will host live music, sales and sweets.

Mademoiselle Macaron will have special holiday teas and Christmas flavored macarons. Call for reservations at 443-699-0769. Blue Plate is always a good spot for all day dining. Check out the new expanded space. More seating, new look and private dining for parties. 856-478-2112.
